Terms and Conditions for February 2017 Facebook Competition

The promoter is Barbican Kitchen. The prize for the winner is two tickets to the Birmingham Royal Ballet’s Cinderella at the Theatre Royal Plymouth, on Wednesday 8th March 2017, at 7.30pm, as well as a meal for two with a bottle of bubbly at the Barbican Kitchen, Plymouth.

Employees of Barbican Kitchen or their family members or anyone else connected in anyway with the competition or helping to set up the competition shall not be permitted to enter the competition.

Competition entrants must be over 18 years old. ID may be requested on the night. 

There is no entry fee and no purchase necessary to enter this competition.

Barbican Kitchen reserves the right not to award a prize (and to select an alternative winner) if Barbican Kitchen is aware or has reasonable grounds to believe that a winner is not eligible.

The competition will be launched on Tuesday 21st February 2017 and the closing date for entrants is on Tuesday 28th February 2017 at 12pm (midday). No responsibility can be accepted for entries not received for whatever reason. Barbican Kitchen has the license to extend the closing date of the competition if they wish to do so.

The rules of the competition are as follows: to enter the competition entrants must answer the question on the Facebook post correctly by commenting on the post and tagging the person they would like to take with them in the post.

The final winner will be chosen by the Barbican Kitchen. The winner will be notified via Facebook on the day of the closing date. If the winner cannot be contacted or does not claim the prize within 3 days of notification, we reserve the right to withdraw the prize from the winner and pick a replacement winner.

The promoter reserves the right to cancel or amend the competition and these terms and conditions without notice in the event of a catastrophe, war, civil or military disturbance, or any actual or anticipated breach of any applicable law or regulation or any other event outside of the promoter’s control. Any changes to the competition will be notified to entrants as soon as possible by the promoter.

The promoter is not responsible for inaccurate prize details supplied to any entrant by any third party connected with this competition.

No cash alternative to the prizes will be offered. The prizes are not transferable. Prizes are subject to availability and we reserve the right to substitute any prize with another of equivalent value without giving notice.

In the event of any dispute regarding the terms and conditions, conduct, results and all other matters relating to a competition, the promoter’s decision in respect of all matters to do with the competition will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.

Competition entries must be made in the manner and by the closing date and time specified on the competition notice. Failure to do so will disqualify the entry.

Barbican Kitchen cannot accept responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communication line failure, theft, destruction, alteration of or unauthorised access to entries, or entries lost, damaged or delayed as a result of server functions, technical issues, virus, bugs or other causes outside Barbican Kitchen’s control.

By entering this competition, an entrant is indicating his/her agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions. The competition and these terms and conditions will be governed by English law and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England.

The winner agrees to the use of his/her name and image in any publicity material. Any personal data relating to the winner or any other entrants will be used solely in accordance with current UK data protection legislation and will not be disclosed to a third party without the entrant’s prior consent.

By uploading your photographs to our social media channels, you are giving us permission to share them on our social media pages, website and to be printed off and displayed in the Barbican Kitchen.

Entry into the competition will be deemed as acceptance of these terms and conditions.

Barbican Kitchen cannot accept responsibility for any damage, loss, injury or disappointment suffered by any entrant entering the competition or as a result of accepting any prize.
