Friday 19th August 2016The Barbican Kitchen Signature Cocktail: The Barbican Breeze
We recently teamed up with our friends at the Refectory Bar to run an exciting social media competition, giving you the chance to design your very own BK signature cocktail based around our wonderful Plymouth Gin.
Suffice it to say, it went down a storm, and the Refectory Bar team had a great time putting your imaginative suggestions to the test.
In the end, it was Tracy Dent's 'Barbican Breeze' creation that reigned triumphant, taking the coveted cocktail crown and winning her a cocktail making masterclass and taster session, and a meal for two at the Barbican Kitchen.
Without further ado, let us introduce you to this very special drink - the fabulous Barbican Breeze!
Why not try it for yourself at home?
Ingredients:
25ml Plymouth Original
25ml Lillet Rouge
25ml Lillet Blanc
25ml Fresh Orange Juice
Method:
1. Measure out your Plymouth Original, Lillet Blanc and Lillet Rouge, and pour into a shaker.
2. Fill the shaker with ice, and shake vigorously - around 15 seconds should do the trick.
3. Strain into a tumbler filled with cubed ice, garnish with a slice of orange, and enjoy!
